It's the Blood, Boobs and Carnage Blogfest!

I can't think of anything that better exemplifies this theme than my absolute favorite show ever: Game of Thrones.

It's the best thing on television

(Notice: If you haven't watched through at least up to Season 4 then don't read on.  We're talking about death so needless to say this references a lot of characters who die.)
 This show has it all!  Let's start with the blood...
I can't think of a single episode where at least one person doesn't die in a relatively bloody and spectacular way.  Whether it's beheading, flaying, skull-crushing or just a good old-fashioned stabbing there's so much blood on the set of this show you'd think they'd run out of the stuff.  But, of course, you'd be wrong.  With an author who loves killing off characters providing plenty of material to go off of we'll be seeing lots of red for a long time to come on this show.

With the tag line "Valar Morghulis" (Translation: All Men Must Die) you know the show is gonna rack up the body count.  From Dothraki feuding to Red Weddings to the Battle of the Blackwater to the Attack on Castle Black this show kills off people in such large numbers it's hard to keep count.  But of course, someone did.
Even though a bit of my soul dies every time another beloved character gets mutilated in front of my eyes I keep coming back for more- just like the other 8 million viewers out there who, like me, will be glued to their TV sets every Sunday night for as long as this amazing show remains on the air.  Blood, boobs and carnage it's got a  plenty- but it's also the best thing on TV.

    Haven't seen the show, just read the books. Wouldn't surprise me if they're all dead by the end.

      Yeah. My husband and I frequently joke that Ricken will be King in the end because everyone forgot to kill ti him and he'll be the only one left.

    Seeing a lot of GoT today. I'm embarrassed to say that even thought I've read all the books, I have yet to watch an episode.

    GoT is winning the blogfest. My daughter is so irritated with this season as the writers change some of the storylines in the books and have to make up more as they've outstripped Martin's snail-speed writing.

    The song with the clip was so inappropriate, lol. Fabulous. Some of those deaths were so satisfying. Sadly, more of my favorite characters are bound to die, curse that George!!

    This is too funny. GoT is my favorite show and even though I didn't take part in this fest it was the first thing to come to mind when I saw the announcement about it.

    Now I've seen it all, a Boob meter - I must be the only person in the world who doesn't watch this show, but I also don't watch or listen to Walking Dead, Mad Men, or really any of the cable series. I'm the dullest person in the world! LOL

    I'm WAY late on the GoT bandwagon, but I'm in it to win it now - almost done with season one, and totally in love. The Boob graphic is hilarious (just the 3 per episode? it feels like more....) and I had to tear my eyes away from the death chart to avoid spoilers. I'll have to come back when I'm caught up!!!
